ADULT ACTING
(ages 18 and up)
George Ryan
Whether you are taking your first acting class, looking to polish your presentation skills, or just hoping to feel more comfortable in front of an audience, this class is for you. Working to develop basic acting and communication skills that can be used in any walk of life, George Ryan creates a fun, comfortable, and safe environment for you to explore and develop your creative style with his proven method.
16 weeks - $544.

VOICE-OVER TECHNIQUE
(ages 18 and up)
George Ryan
Commercials, radio, television, and various media voice-over opportunities will be explored in this class, as well as techniques including voice production, diction, tone, pitch, and resonance. Students will investigate cold readings and script work and will be recorded to allow additional feedback from the instructor.

NEW! THE BUSINESS OF SHOW BUSINESS
(ages 18 and up)
Amber Watson
Find out if you have what it takes to make it in this unique introduction to the business of the business. This class will introduce you to a wide variety of professionals working in casting and management. These specialists will be interviewed each week by the workshop leader and will also respond to questions from the class, sharing information on the behind the scenes aspects of the entertainment industry. Specialists who have participated in past sessions include actress Tovah Feldshuh, video/promotions manager Lee Anne Callihan, and agent Jean Fox of Fox Albert Management. Participants are subject to change based on availability.

TAP & JAZZ

This basic class teaches the language of dance through Broadway show choreography and develops the student's strength, flexibility, coordination, and rhythm. Each class begins with a floor warm-up, followed by simple combinations across the floor. Tap and jazz shoes are recommended, but not required.

Aimee Willis
Students learn a wide variety of musical styles and focus on "acting through the song." They work on stage presence, good vocal habits, and learning to interpret a song for an audience.

Want to audition for a play? Want to find the perfect monologue? These points and more are covered in Adult Auditions 101. George Ryan, with over 25 years of professional experience in casting, will guide you step by step through the audition process. Recommended for those who have already taken a basic acting class, this 8-week session will help you prepare for and sail through your next audition with polish and flair.

NEW! CABARET WORKSHOP
(ages 18 and up)

The world of cabaret performance can be an exciting challenge, and this class will explore the history of cabaret performance as it differs from musical theatre. Various musical genres will be explored as we discover what resonates best in the intimate and personal world of cabaret performance: jazz, bluegrass, pop, and R&B will be studied along with the American Songbook. The class will culminate in a staged performance for invited guests. A basic knowledge of vocal technique and some on-stage experience is recommended but not required.
