ACTING & IMPROV

(ages 9-11)

A fun-filled introduction to theatre for the novice actor! Theatre games and improvisation exercises increase performance skills, awaken creativity, and encourage students to work with others to accomplish common goals

18 weeks - $575

 INTRO TO ACTING

(ages 6-7)

Students use role-playing and basic creative drama exercises to bring scenes and stories to life. A great opportunity to make new friends while developing self-confidence.

CHILDREN’S THEATRE ON TOUR

(ages 10-13)

The Children’s Theatre On Tour Company rehearses a full one-hour musical that tours to schools, libraries, community centers, and other local organizations. The class is filled by audition only. Completion of Creative Drama I or II is a prerequisite to audition. Auditions are held in the Spring.

24 weeks - $695

CREATIVE DRAMA I

(ages 9-12)

Students participate in theatre games, improvisation and scene studies that encourage creativity, self-expression, and self-confidence. In the spring, they perform a play that incorporates the skills learned and introduces elements of scenery and costumes.

CREATIVE DRAMA II

(ages 9-12)

Self-discovery for the actor continues in scenes, songs and more advanced acting exercises. Students also perform a scripted play or musical with costumes and scenery.

20 weeks - $685

MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP

(ages 6-11)

Musical theatre performance is more than a pretty voice; it’s acting through a song. Students explore how to interpret and connect to the lyrics to tell the story in the song. Selection of appropriate material for auditions and performance will be stressed, along with basic vocal technique and breath control. Staged musical numbers will also be introduced.

18 weeks - $595 (includes accompanist fee)

PRIVATE VOICE LESSONS

(ages 8-11)

Individual attention helps students learn breath control and vocal placement in a nurturing one-to-one environment. Exercises are used to strengthen and protect the voice and both popular and theatre songs are rehearsed. Lessons are 30 minutes each.

SHOWTIME KIDS

(age 8)

Students will learn the step by step process of putting on a production from casting to the final presentation. They will learn the importance of characterization, rehearsals and working together as an ensemble.

18 weeks - $495

STORYBOOK THEATRE

(age 5)

A wonderful introduction to the world of theatre for the imaginative child, the class brings favorite fairly tales and characters to life through music, movement, and pretend play.

THEATRE FOR EVERYONE AutismRibbonwhlchr p

(ages 7-18)

In collaboration with Theatre in Motion, an organization which provides a wide array of arts programming for children & adults with all types of disabilities, this class includes theatre improvisation, storytelling, music, movement, and some visual art. The series creatively addresses and includes diverse learning styles and modes of communication. When applicable, a student's attendant, who may be a parent, caregiver, nurse, personal aide, or sign interpreter, stays for the class. Typical siblings are welcome to join the class as well.
